A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey flies toward River Gee, Liberia, to conduct a Joint Forces Command – United Assistance recon mission Nov. 17, 2014, River Gee, Liberia. Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response uses Ospreys to transport troops in support of Operation United Assistance. SPMAGTF-CR is scheduled to depart Liberia in December when CH-47F Chinooks from the 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas, will take over the mission.
