The Tubmanburg Ebola treatment unit opened its gates for the first time at the dedication of ETU ceremony in Tubmanburg, Liberia, Nov. 10, 2014. The 100-bed facility is built on a 2 acre site with 13,056 square feet of treatment space, 100-bed capacity and 13,500 gallons of water storage. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
