Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Neal Black, Soldiers of the 364th ESC, family and friends participated in a promotion ceremony for Lt. Col John Weakland to colonel during a battle assembly at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Marysville, Wash., Oct. 25. The ceremony marked the official “pinning” for Weakland and his family who also participated in the event. The event hosted more than 100 attendees consisting of fellow Soldiers, Weakland’s wife, children and parents. Official ceremonies like this serve to Honor, thank and encourage military service. It also acknowledges Soldiers service and family support and builds relationships with families.
