U.S. Southern Command Friendship Baseball Tour All-Star team coach David Monje-Rivera is presented an honorary plaque and cultural ceremonial drink served in a bull's horn "Chicha" prior to the start of the game against the Santiago Baseball Club held at the National Park. The baseball team representing joint service personnel assigned to U.S. Southern Command is on a friendship tour scheduled to travel to five Latin American nations engaging military and civilian teams in a game of baseball. The team is conducting baseball clinics at local community for children throughout South, Central America and Caribbean countries strengthening ties through a shared interest in baseball.
