A grieving mother from the Gold Star Mothers Club holds back tears after pausing in front of Auburn City Hall holding a banner of her fallen service member during the 49th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Observance in Auburn, Wash., Nov. 8. More than 20,000 people showed their support for service members by lining the streets waving flags and cheering at the biggest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi. The purpose of Auburn's Veterans Day Parade is to positively focus on honoring our country's veterans and active military personnel.
