    21st Theater Sustainment Command

Lt. Col. John Motszko, 16th Sustainment Brigade, briefs Maj. Gen. John R. O'Connor (left), commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, and Col. Scott Murray, commander 16th Sustainment Brigade, during a walk through of the controlled monitoring area established at Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Service members coming from CDC defined Ebola outbreak areas in West Africa in support of Operation United Assistance will spend three weeks at the facility, a procedure implemented out of an abundance of caution to preclude any possibility of transmitting infections of Ebola or other diseases. The procedures exceed U.S. government medical standards for protection against Ebola transmission.
