Epson Richardson, a combat engineer with Company B, 82nd Engineer Battalion, 2nd ABCT, 1st Infantry Division, throws a lightweight grapnel hook into a “notional” minefield Oct. 20 during a combined arms manual breach training at a training area on Fort Riley, Kan. The battalion is preparing for its first decisive action rotation under the “Dagger” brigade to the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif., early next year.
