A Marine with 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, dons his gas mask and mission oriented protective posture suits for biological/chemical weapons reaction training during Exercise Rolling Thunder at Fort Bragg, N.C., Oct. 26, 2014. The training was designed to give the Marines faith in their equipment. “Our ability to function in a contaminated environment, de-contaminate our equipment and ourselves, and then move on and continue to fight is absolutely critical,” said Lt. Col. Todd Sermarini, executive officer of 10th Marines, and Toms River, N.J., native. Rolling Thunder is a bi-annual training operation where artillery units complete live-fire training operations with the support of logistics and aviation combat elements.
