Marines prepare an amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) for a simulated raid in vehicle stowage of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during the multi-national exercise Bold Alligator (BA) 2014. Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
