A building on the camp depicting the Kuwait Energy Efficiency Project “KEEP.” KEEP’s goal is to reduce fuel use by 30-60 percent. The building is energy efficient, insulated, significantly reducing the heating and cooling (ECU) requirements and improves soldier comfort. Occupancy sensor smart thermostat on each building reduces energy consumption by automatically setting back thermostat setting when no Soldiers are present. The building is also equipped with LED Lighting Fixtures, motion sensor common area lighting and dusk-to-dawn exterior light control. (Photo Courtesy of U.S. Army Central)
