Sailors fight a simulated class alpha fire, also known as an ordinary combustibles fire, in the well deck during a general quarters drill aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). San Diego is a part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
