Marines with Marine Transport Squadron 1 perform an inspection for foreign objects and debris on the flight line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., as the sun rises Oct. 14, 2014. The Marines of VMR-1 specialize in land and sea search and rescue and transport of military personnel. VMR-1 is the only squadron in the Marine Corps whose primary mission is SAR and is the last remaining Marine Corps squadron to fly the Sea Knight.
