About 400 Soldiers and veterans gathered at the Leon County Expo Center in Buffalo, Texas, Oct. 4 to celebrate Leon County's Veterans Appreciation Day. The current and former service members were treated to a lunch of Texas barbecue; a speech by retired Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch, former III Corps and Fort Hood commander, and demonstration from the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment.
