Marines from India Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment control other Marines who are roleplaying simulated locals during an assault support tactics exercise at Kiwanis Park in Yuma, Ariz., as part of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course conducted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1, based at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. The role-players act how locals in any area Marines could be deployed to might react to their presence; some were passive and others aggressive. This provides the Marines with a realistic training experience, as they must react to the simulated locals as would be appropriate in a real scenario.
