Air National Guard and Coast Guard intercept mission training exercise [Image 5 of 6]
An F-15 Eagle pilot from the 142nd Fighter Wing, based in Portland, Ore., conducts a low level flyby of a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew, from Air Station Astoria, Ore., during a joint training event held off of the coast of Oregon, Oct. 2, 2014. A pair of Oregon National Guard F-15 all-weather tactical fighters intercepted the Coast Guard helicopter during a routine training exercise where the Coast Guard helicopter crew played the roll of an unidentified aircraft threat and the F-15 pilots intercept and identify the potential issue.
