U.S. Marine Sgt. Adam R. Tibesar plays a tympani during a drum solo in the III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 15th Band combined concert Sept. 6 at the Okinawa Civic Hall. The title of the concert, “Friendship through Music,” conveyed the continuous bond between the U.S. and Japan. Tibesar is from Billings, Montana, and is a Marine musician with the III MEF Band.
