Clarence Singleton, a former New York City firefighter and former U.S. Marine, speaks during Fort Lee’s Regional 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 11 at the MacLaughlin Fitness Center. Singleton was the guest speaker during the event and although he was retired at the time, he answered the call to respond to the World Trade Center towers on Sept. 11, 2001.
