Staff Sgt. Celicia McGee, a food service noncommissioned officer with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment-- “Dreadnaughts,” 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, and native of New Orleans, discusses the terrorists attacks that were carried out against the United States, more than 13 years ago, with Soldiers in formation prior to the 9/11 Remembrance Run on the Morale, Welfare and Recreation track at Camp Buehring, Kuwait Sept. 11. The run was led by the "Dreadnaught" females to honor their brothers and sisters-in-arms, and civilians who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The run began at exactly 9:11 a.m. to commemorate the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The Soldiers paused for a moment of silence after the run and reflected on what they were doing the day of the attacks.
