Members of the 1st Cavalry Division Honor Guard prepare to execute a saber presentation during the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cav. Div’s 30th birthday commemoration at the 1st Cav. Div. Museum at Fort Hood, Texas, Sept. 16. Although celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Air Cav traces its history back to Feb. 1, 1963, when the Army began to gather helicopters and first tested an airmobile concept.
