Lance Cpl. Christopher A. Taylor, a sensor operator for the ground sensor platoon, 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and a native of Baltimore, Md., teaches the placement and concealment techniques for the Encoder Transmitter Unit 2 ground sensor to British soldiers of the 5, 6, and 7 Military Intelligence Battalions, 1 Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Brigade, during Exercise Phoenix Odyssey on Sept. 15, 2014. The day’s training focused on the emplacement, concealment and use of ground sensors for intelligence gathering. The two forces have been training in a Military Operations in Urban Terrain facility on Camp Lejeune as part of a week long, scenario driven, bilateral exercise.
