Marines from the 1st Expeditionary Force and Soldiers from the 114th Transportation Company, Minnesota Army National Guard, stand on parade grounds at the permanent forward operating site Sept. 5 at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, marking the historic 100,000th passenger flight from the Transit Center. Flights began leaving routing through the hub in February 2014. The redeployment flight back to the United States is one of more than 600 flights to and from Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom routed through Romania.
