Michigan National Guard, Greenville-based 1073rd Support Maintenance Company Soldiers, Sgt. Eric Trygstad, Pfc. Dustin Fisher, Capt. Daniel Daugherty, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Joey North, pose after their unit is announced as the winner of the Army Award for Maintenance Excellence and "The Best of the Best" at a ceremony in the Pentagon auditorium Sept. 10, 2014. Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond Odierno was the guest speaker and presented the awards. The AAME is awarded yearly to units in recognition of exceptional accomplishments within the maintenance category. The Best of the Best award rated the 1073rd SMC as number one among all active duty, Guard and Reserve MTOE, Depot-level, and Table of Distribution and Allowance categories.
