Cpl. James A. Whitehead scans the area while on patrol Aug. 28 during a training event as part of Exercise Ulchi Freedom Guardian at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. Marine patrolled in pairs and were tasked with searching the training area for simulated enemies. Whitehead is an administrative specialist with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 1, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
