Al Morris, 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery, Colorado Army National Guard presents an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recognition award to Steve Sharp, a lab director at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colo., during a Family Readiness Group event in Colorado Springs, Colo., Feb. 26. Spc. Derek Ware (in uniform on the left) submitted his employer for the ESGR award because of the ongoing support he receives from work. "[Steve] always lets me off to do training. He was former military – served during Vietnam," said Ware, grateful that his position is being held until he returns from Iraq.
