Soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard assist graduate students from the University of Minnesota during a refugee camp simulation exercise meant to give the students an idea of the conditions they would most likely experience while working in a refugee camp. The exercise, which took place at the Phillippo Scout Reservation in Cannon Falls, Minn., is an example of one of many mutually-beneficial partnerships the Minnesota National Guard is building with other agencies across the state.
