Lt. Col. John Richardson IV (right), commander, 5th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad is presented with the Bronze Star with 'V' device for valor by Maj. Gen. Daniel Bolger, commander, MND-B, March 1 on Camp Liberty. Richardson, of Tallahassee, Fla., received the Army's fourth highest award with valor for his actions following an attempted insurgent attack in the Ghazaliyah neighborhood of northwest Baghdad, Feb. 15.
