2nd Cavalry Regiment Strykers are offloaded from U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft one hour after NATO paratroopers from the U.S., Canada and Italy conducted an airborne operation to seize Lielvarde Airbase, Latvia the night of Sept. 5, 2014 as part of NATO Exercise Steadfast Javelin II. Steadfast Javelin II is a NATO exercise involving over 2,000 troops from ten nations and takes place across Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
