Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Sabiniewicz (right), 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, was nominated by Lt. Col. Kyle Reed, commander 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, to receive a challenge coin Aug. 14 from U.S. Army Europe Commander Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell for the invaluable work performed as a logistics noncommissioned officer and as a Polish-English interpreter in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Sabiniewicz lived in Poland for 12 years before he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 19. The operation includes combined training exercises with U.S., Polish, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian military forces to foster cohesive relationships and demonstrate a commitment to NATO obligations.
