Adam Dwaileibe, Motor-transport Operator, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group and Cincinnati, Ohio, native, looks underneath a Humvee during a five and 25 meter scan as part of the practical application portion of a counter-IED class Aug. 20, 2014, in Holly Ridge, North Carolina. Instructors taught Marines to perform the five and 25 meter scan to avoid stopping near the kill zone of an IED. During the scan, Dwailebe looked for abnormalities and secondary IEDs. The purpose of the training was to keep the Marines ready to employ a counter-IED skill-set.
