A concrete statue symbolizing the mobilization of the 234th Engineer Company, Oregon Army National Guard stands outside the McGregor Range barracks known as the Alamo. The statue was created by 234th’s own carpenter and mason, Spc. Zachary Spencer, who deployed with his unit on July 28 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
