Chilean Marine Medics Manage Triage Medical Center During Disaster Relief Exercises at Partnership of the Americas 2014

Chilean medical officer Lt. Jean Paul Caze unwraps a blanket with an electric heater and micro perforations that distribute air to keep patients warm during treatment. Chilean Marine medics set up a basic aid station as part of the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercises during Partnership of the Americas 2014. Representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay and the U.S. are participating in POA 2014 from Aug. 11-22, 2014. This exercise is designed to enhance joint and combined interoperability, increase the combined capability to execute amphibious operations, peace support oerations and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief missions, and further develop strong and lasting relationships the U.S. Marines Corps has established with partner nation’s naval infantries/marine corps.
