U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Symone Randle, right, Combat Logistics Battalion 22, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), maintenance management specialist and native of Minneapolis, receives her enlisted surface warfare specialist (ESWS) device during a pinning ceremony aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19). Randle is the first Marine to earn an ESWS device aboard the Mesa Verde during the Mesa Verde’s current deployment. The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
