Mary Ashley waits for the breastfeeding session during the Big Latch On event while her daughter, Zureana, sleeps. National Breastfeeding Week was Aug. 1 through 7, 2014. Mothers worldwide were encouraged to breastfeed in public for one minute at 10:30 a.m. in their respective time zones. More than a dozen families came to Mokapu Mall aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The New Parent Support Program coordinated a breastfeeding session in the courtyard of Mokapu Mall. Attendees could also collect information about NPSP, Families OverComing Under Stress Project, Oahu, Spine and Rehab, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and the Exceptional Family Member Program.
