U.S. Marine Corps Col. Michael T. Cuccio, Chief of Staff for United States Marine Corps Forces South, and U.S. Navy Capt. Wallace G. Lovely, Maritime Operations Center Director, U.S. 4th Fleet, visit a library in Puerto Barrios in which Marines from 8th Engineer Support Battalion (8th ESB), 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and Seabees from Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202, attached to Destroyer Squadron 40, USNS Spearhead Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV1), renovate as part of a humanitarian engineering project for Southern Partnership Station 14, July 29, 2014. The Marines from 8th ESB are helping to remodel buildings, as well as supplying the Marine and sailors with clean drinking water, in support of Southern Partnership Station 2014, a combined joint exercise focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nations and security forces as well as military to military engagements and community relations projects in Central America.
