2nd Lt. Angela K. Fry is pinned the rank of second lieutenant by 528th Engineer Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Alonzo R. Luce and her daughter Courtney during a ceremony in Monroe, La., Oct. 25, 2008. Fry enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard at 38 years old after learning about the Guard while working with the American Red Cross during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
