First Lt. Derek Briggs (center), a paratrooper with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, ruck marches with his platoon to an observation post near Konotop, Poland, July 22. The ruck march was part of combined call for fire training with Canadian and Polish paratroopers during Operation Atlantic Resolve. Approximately 600 paratroopers are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve to demonstrate commitment to NATO obligations and sustain interoperability with allied forces.
