Lance Cpl. Anthony Lostal helps fill protective barriers, Jan. 3, at Combat Outpost Barrow in Farah province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The Marines of 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment (Reinforced) and Combat Logistics Battalion 3 executed Operation Gateway III to clear southern Afghanistan's Route 515, which provides a direct route between the Deleram and Bakwa districts of Farah province. 3/8 is the ground combat element and CLB-3 is the logistics combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force ? Afghanistan. Lostal is a mortarman with Weapons Company, 3/8.
