Capt. Richard Daughtry, a nuclear officer with the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Command in Aberdeen, Md., lifts a pod for the Airborne, Radiation, Detection, Identification and Measurement System to be installed on a UH-60L Black Hawk. Daughtry will be flying the crew from A Company, 5th Battalion of the 159th Aviation Regiment through the notional radiological plume measuring the radiation levels in the affected areas and finding safe routes for troops to conduct missions.
