Federal law enforement partner agencies announced the interdiction of the motor vessel An-Nur by the Coast Cutter Northland, approximately 201 nautical southwest of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico July 8, 2014. The boarding team of the Coast Guard Cutter Northland located 3,591 pounds of marijuana hidden inside the An Nur, that were estimated to have a wholesale value of $3.5 million dollars. The illegal drug shipment and the An Nur were seized, while the five Guyanese crewmembers were detained for prosecution.
