A group of five U.S. Soldiers from 2nd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, trains on the SPIES/FRIES system at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, July 18, 2014. The fast-rope insertion and extraction system (FRIES) is employed by small units to make rapid infiltration and exfiltration using rotary-wing aircraft in confined areas.
