A member of the Hurriyah Neighborhood Advisory Council, alongside officials from the ministry of education, cut a ceremonial ribbon to signify the grand opening of the al-Hurriyah School in the Kadhamiyah district of northwest Baghdad Jan. 15. Prior to the opening, children in the Hurriyah neighborhood had to travel to surrounding neighborhoods to attend school.
