Maj. C. R. Sherwood walks off of the flightline after landing a MV-22 Osprey at Naval Air Facility Atsugi as part of a brief refueling stop in route to Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji. This is the first time a MV-22 Osprey has operated at NAF Atsugi since the aircraft has been forward deployed to U.S. Forces Japan area of responsibility. The Osprey is a U.S.-Japan alliance asset, enhancing the US ability to assist in the defense of Japan as well as to respond to natural disasters.
