Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, show Australian Army Cadets the M-4 Carbine at Kangaroo Flats Training Area, July 11, 2014. The cadets were given a chance to get to know the Marines and learn about their weapons systems and vehicles. The Australian Army Cadets is a youth development program designed to teach young men and women military leadership skills. The Marines with MRF-D will conduct independent and bilateral training with the Australian Defence Force aboard existing ADF facilities during the six-month rotation.
