Pvt. Jessica Renee Duplantis joins her mother and father, Anna and Malcolm Ricks, sister, Jennifer Snowdon and her recruiter, Staff Sgt. Michael Davila, Sunday, Jan. 11, for a congratulatory photo at a reception honoring her recent graduation from the Louisiana National Guard's Youth Challenge Program and subsequent enlistment in the 415th Military Intelligence Battalion, Louisiana Army National Guard. Duplantis will begin basic training in August, 2009, at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and will follow through with advanced training at Fort Huachuca, Az., and at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Ca.
