A corpsman with Shock Trauma Platoon, 4th Medical Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, monitors a patient’s vitals during realistic casualty scenarios as part of Integrated Training Exercise 4-14 here, June 9, 2014. The platoon’s objective is to receive all casualties within Marine Air-Ground Task Force 23 and evaluate their injuries for the Forward Resuscitative Surgical Suite where the decision is made whether or not to move the patient to a higher echelon of medical care.
