Paratroopers from 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, participate in the opening ceremony for Exercise Saber Strike on June 9, 2014, at Camp Adazu, Latvia. Exercise Saber Strike is a two-week multinational training exercise which includes more than 4,700 soldiers from ten countries spread through locations in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Latvian Minister of Defense Raimonds Vejonis and Chief of Defense Lt. Gen. Raimonds Gruabe began the ceremony by welcoming all the soldiers to Latvia and expressing their gratitude for the participation in the exercise. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Alonzo Werner)
