U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Katherine Meakins, 480th Fighter Squadron crew chief, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, pumps fuel into a returning U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft at Lask Air Base, Poland, June 9, 2014. There are four Polish air force Oshkosh R-11 fuel trucks at Lask Air Base that support refueling operations for U.S. and Polish aircraft participating in Exercise Eagle Talon, BALTOPS 14 and U.S. Aviation Detachment Rotation 14-3 activities. The trucks pump approximately 600 gallons of fuel per minute. This is the first time hot pit refueling has been done in Poland by U.S. Forces.
