Local media are shown Joint Incident Site Communications Capability operations by Capt. Michael Wingrave, from the 169th Communications Flight of the South Carolina Air National Guard, at a temporary setup location inside the Georgetown County Airport, S.C., June 4, 2014. The unit is supporting a hurricane preparedness exercise with the S.C. Emergency Management Division and first responders from local emergency agencies to effectively respond to any hurricane that may threaten the state. The exercise is based on a hurricane post-landfall response between federal, state and local agencies, which includes training in communications and first responder skills, with the focus on how to better protect and assist citizens during emergency situations.
