Several Soldiers received their Purple Hearts from Col. Michael Bills, the commander, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, during a ceremony on Forward Operating Base Marez in Mosul, Iraq, Oct. 29. The commander also awarded one Soldier an Army Commendation of Valor and another Soldier the Bronze Star.
