Indiana National Guard Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger, the state's adjutant general, talks to friends and family members of 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Soldiers at Stout Field in Indianapolis, Nov. 27. The 3,400 Soldiers who deployed with the brigade were part of the single largest Indiana Guard deployment since World War II. Maj. Gen. Umbarger commands nearly 15,000 Guard Soldiers and Airmen throughout the Hoosier state.
